Do you like fun, motorized toys but are like me barely able to change a tire? Luckily, other people have fabrication talent and sometimes offer their work up for sale, as in the case of the " !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ", the driving beer box for sale on german ebay.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

The description is brief, with the most interesting bits being warnings ("No Toy!") and what drives the thing: a 125ccm, 15hp bike engine mated to a 4 speed gearbox. The tires are kart rain tires and the seller notes that its forwards motion is "sinister" and corners are taken "in rage". Of all the beer karts I've seen this is one of the best ones quality wise, even though I visually prefer the all in one look of the original:

So Oppo, what do you say, with one day left to go and a current bid of about 750$ - Nice Price or Crack Pipe?

I vote NP... but of course the old adage is true: it's worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it.

Perhaps the value in having something like this comes along with building one yourself.

Well, as far as stupid ways to die go, $750 isn't a lot to spend on friends being able to say "and he fell off and broke his spine in 12 places when he shifted his beer crate into 4th".

I get your point actually, it has been the same debate with tobacco and F1. The only issue I see with alcohol being advertised is if visiting/watching the race live relies on getting there with your own car. As long as public transport is reasonable, I don't see why anyone with half a brain would not just have a few beers more and take the train home.

Sadly, the US has almost no public transportation, so it is up to the individual to arrange safe transportation.

Yeah I witnessed that, even New Jersey's public transport is bad. We Germans are blesses with a relatively good network, and for race weekends extra buses and trains are normal and come free with the ticket.

I don't think you should literally translate "böse" into "sinister". It's colloquial language. It just means that acceleration is quick.

My thoughts exactly. A friend of mine has one of those motorized coolers. It is fun to ride, but it holds so little beer that we had to build a trailer for a regular cooler behind it and add a stronger motor to handle the extra weight. That of course lead to needing an extra battery to compensate for reduced range. Suddenly, the original cooler couldn't carry any beer.

prices of kits depend on what you want. See for example here:
